Poison Spider Mesa

2001 Easter Jeep Safari

April 7th – 15th, 2001: The annual Easter Jeep Safari was a blast this year. The week-long event is held in Moab, Utah each year and put on by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers. We were able to make it out from the 11th to the 15th. On Thursday we stayed at the Dump Bump all day. Shop Foreman Mike Caskey had a lot of fun driving up and down the Dump Bump. The front bumper stand he did was pretty amazing. On Friday we headed up Lower Helldorado. This trail is challenging and a lot of fun. Once again Mike Caskey was playing around at the end and a rock twisted up his rear driveshaft pretty good. It then snapped in half as he tried to drive forward. It’s a pretty good trophy. On Saturday we headed up Poison Spider Mesa. Poison Spider has some fun slickrock to play on. The top of the trail is on a nice flat spot with an incredible view. The Moab sunset is quite a sight to see. On Sunday it was time to head home. It’s always sad when we leave the great wheelin’ of Moab behind, but we were comforted by the fact that we’ll be back in a few weeks for the TLCA Cruise Moab. Check out the pictures below, we will be getting more up as they are developed and scanned.
