When installing a new clutch during an engine conversion, machining or replacing the flywheel is always wise. If the existing flywheel has deep heat cracks, a damaged ring gear or machining is not cost-effective, a new flywheel is in order.
This is a 3.4L 5VZ-FE flywheel, meant for use with a 3.4L 5VZ-FE clutch kit ONLY. This flywheel has a stock stepping of 0.5mm (~.0197″) and features stock 5VZ specifications.
We also recommend new flywheel bolts when installing this new flywheel.
