1UZ-FE Conversion High Pressure Power-Steering Hose

Description

The ORS 1UZ-FE High Pressure Power Steering Hose has been developed in conjunction with North West Toys (NWT) since 2016 for 4.0L 1UZ-FE swaps into older Toyota vehicles.

This High Pressure power steering hose can be used in the 1UZ Conversion to connect the 1UZ power steering pump to the existing vehicle’s power steering system, on ’79-’95 Truck & 4Runner models. On vehicles not equipped with Rear-Wheel ABS, this hose will directly connect the pump to the steering gear. On rear-wheel ABS-equipped vehicles, this hose will connect the power steering pump to the ABS actuator.

Vehicles equipped with Rear-Wheel ABS can be identified by the presence of a brake actuator on the RH side frame rail, just rearward of the radiator. This actuator is connected to both power steering and brake lines. See picture.

The OEM banjo/compression fitting at the Power Steering pump is converted to a simple compression fitting using the provided adapter, and the OEM compression-style fitting is retained at the steering gear.

Note: vehicles w/ ABS systems other than the system described will also use non-ABS hose option.
